If you could pick one person who dies in the Avengers Infinity War, who would you pick, and why?

I’d say we are all set up for a few Avengers to die.
For starters- in order for the Infinity War to occur, Thanos must be constructing the Infinity Gauntlet. This means collecting the Infinity Stones. One Avenger depends upon an Infinity Stone to exist. Cue the death of the Vision black canary costumes.
Next, it’s been no secret that RDJ was kinda done with playing Iron Man some time ago, but he’s been on contract and the powers that be have kept him hooked in. Here’s the thing; we need a big death to make a real impact in this movie and Vision just isn’t big enough. What about Tony Stark? The one who got the whole MCU off the ground. Now that’s impactful.
We’ve got Rhodey there ready to take up the mantle and run the Hall of Armors into the ground for a bit. I have another idea about this also but I’ll come back to it in a sec.
Since we’re going with big character deaths and we’re also already looking at viable replacements, why not Cap?
“Oh, but Jim! You can’t do that! He’s awesome! I don’t wanna see him go!”
Exactly.
The biggest, most prevalent complaint I have heard about the MCU is that the big bads haven’t been big enough or bad enough. Fine. Let’s make this guy…..
….the 21st century equivalent of this guy.
Let’s give everyone something to remember. Cap has replacements lined up too:
And
Both of which have served as Captain America in the comics. Ah, but here’s the twist; in a new standalone movie we learn that Steve was not killed, and is in fact in Dimension Z.
It was a great story and will allow Chris to develop his character more, as he is so good at doing. Then he can take a break and return whenever.
No need to kill Thor; Thanos can just level Asgard, requiring him to return and help rebuild.
Scarlet Witch loses her shit at so much loss and declares “No more superheroes!” She then disappears.
Her spell cures Banner of his affliction.
Hawkeye, still guilt-ridden over the death of her brother, finds Scarlet Witch in the mountains of Sokovia in a long deserved solo movie to finally flesh out the character and brings her back young justice cheshire costume.
The remaining combatants are all reliant upon technology (or Magic in Dr. Strange’s case) or are non-humans so are not “super”heroes injustice 2 joker costumes. (except for Spider-Man who is protected by being off in his little bubble universe fighting bad guys that inexplicably don’t exist in the MCU despite the fact that he does. Or something.)
And there we go; all ready for a new beginning in the next phase.
